Two months ago, our magazine published Chen Hanwei's "Star Journey". From there you got to know some details about him:

     He came from a poor family and did badly in his studies during Primary school. He packed up and  left his home once.  He loved singing and has even won Championship in Singing Competition. After "Star Search" he started a career in acting and acted in more than ten shows but only became the lead actor in Behind Bars which is going to be shown soon....

     So you know quite a bit about his personal details but how many of you who are the judging audience understand him? What is his personality and what kind of person is him?

    Here,  I  "detained" Hanwei and let him "cross examine"  his shortcomings. Below  are his "court confessions "

THE CONFESSIONS ARE ALL TRUE, THERE ARE NO FABRICATIONS

1. Sticking to my own views 

      I am a very stubborn person. Once I decided on something, it' ll be difficult to accept others' suggestion. And I'll do it according to my wish. Nicely said it is "firmness" but plainly speaking it is "stubborness".

      For example  I used dark green colour for the walls of my room and black colour for the window blinds. All my family members were against it, saying that it will make my room look very small, but I feel very comfortable and so did not accept their suggestions.

2. Being forthright and not watching my words

    When I see something or come across anything  that I view with disapproval. I'll express my own views and feelings. I am very subjective and never watch my words when I speak up from my heart.

    I feel that this is not very good. I can offend people without knowing it.

    However, I normally express my views to my good friends and family members. So up to now, I haven't offended anybody.

3. Spending money like water

    I am not good at looking after my finance annd doesn't know how to save money. I spend money the moment it reaches my hands. I spend specifically on things I want, like buying car lah, renovating my room lah.. I hope to add on hifi system and video cassette recorder.

    Actually I know it is not good to be such a "spendthrift". I've thought of changing my habits, but decided that I'll do it in one or two years' time! Because I want to enjoy the fun of spending money while I am young.

4. Not knowing how to please people

    I don't know how to gain others' favour. I don't really like to talk and also don't know how to please other people. Friends who a re not familiar with me, will think that I am very proud. But I really feel that there is no need to say things that are unnecessary. After all there is no benefit in saying them.

    Also, I don't know how to give other people  face. I will walk away if I come across discussions that I am not interested in. I won't force myself to listen on.

5. Being over-sensitive

   Previously I am a very sensitive person. I took  my friends words very seriously and cared a lot about how other people viewed me. This gives me much suffering.

    Now I am already more relaxed. When I am scolded or being commented on, I'll forget soon and don't take to heart.

6.Being not romantic enough

   Although I haven't  had a love relationship, I am very definite that I will not be a romantic lover.

    But  I believe I will be faithful.

    I may not be very good to my girl friend but I am very generous and loyal to my friends. Also I will not wait only for certain occasions to give presents to my friends. Sometimes when I know they need something and I can afford it, I'll present them a pleasant surprise.

JUDGEMENT

    As is said no one  is a "Sage without  faults."

   After hearing his six major "self-confessed crimes", "Your Honour" decides that although he isn't  perfect there are good reasons for his imperfections. Besides, viewed in another way, these faults gave him his special character and genuineness. In our present society such qualities are not easy to find.

  In addition "Your Honour" has been in touch with him frequently these days and found that he has very good relationship with people. He is punctual and responsible and doesn't throw temper tantrums. Besides he has an outer appearance that can take on many images. He is an artiste of great  potential.

  So "Your Honour" judged that the prosecutions against him cannot stand. I  pronounce him  not guilty and shall be released. At the same time I also wish him a bright future.
