From the MediaCorps.com's Gossip section...

Since Hanwei took on the ugly role in "Love Me, Love Me not" his name constantly pops up in the  Mediacorps website gossip section. Here are the collections in reverse chronological order .

For Hanwei, his role as a buckteeth geek is one of the most memorable so far. "I love these set of false teeth, the minute I put it on, I already feel like my character," he says.

In fact, so different does he look that a crew member who met him while he was filming in Orchard did not recognise him until half an hour later when Hanwei went up to talk to him. "He was wondering who is this newbie and wondering why this kelefe (extra) seems to know exactly where to stand."

But of course, there are limitations to the "prowess" of his set of buck teeth. "I can't kiss Li Lin properly, I can't drink. The minute I try to drink, water will flow out from the sides," he laughed.

Talking about his fellow colleague, Li Lin who plays his love interest in the serial, Love Me, Love Me Not, Hanwei has this comment to make.

"Don't take one look at Li Lin and conclude that she is very demure. She is acutally very brave and very liberal. In fact, for most of the kissing scenes, she was the one leading me on," he said.

It seems that the new drama, Love Me, Love Me Not has indeed left a deep impression with all the actors and actresses starring in the show.During a recent press conference, the mostly single cast got into a "heated discussion" about real love when Shaoguang declared that it is the first time he is acting in a character who gets a chance to fall in love properly.

Sounding like an expert in love, the swinging bachelor who is in his early 40s says, "I think the theme the drama serial explores is very meaningful. Love has no logic. When you fall in love, you naturally eat, drink and dream about your partner. And when you are truly in love, after some time when the initial infatuation fades, in comes this sense of reponsibility."

This resulted in Huihui making some grouses about her on-screen husband and giving her 2 cents worth on real love too. "One should never get married for responsibility alone," she maintains.

Jokes Hanwei, who plays a geek in the show, "I have known Chen Huihui for so long and this is the first time I see her so agitated about something. Definitely, there is something brewing in her love life. Be sure to question her later."

After playing that terribly ugly nerd in Love Me, Love Me Not, what's up for Chen Hanwei next?
"I'll probably be working on the serial, Chang Qing Da Jiu Dian. It will be helmed by four main characters and the two male leads will be played by me and Nanxing."
As for the 2 female leads, we are keeping our fingers crossed that it will definitely be Zoe and Fann (the cast list has not been fixed yet) since we'd love to watch them "cross their swords"...

Just who is this gawky-looking dude in pink shirt and stone-washed jeans? Make a guess. He is none other than MediaCorp artiste Chen Hanwei! (Scream!). The actor plays a nerd in the upcoming romantic comedy, Zhen Ai Wu Di, which also stars Xie Shaoguang, Lilin, Jacelyn Tay and y.e.s.93.3 DJ Daniel Chew. Says Hanwei: "I play the role of a designer. This guy dresses badly and goes around looking ugly. Basically, he's indifferent and doesn't think there's anything wrong with his 'obiang' (read: loud) dressing.

In addition, he also walks around with a bulging tummy and tugs at the hem of his underwear with every few steps he takes." So how does he feel with a cushion on his tummy for the extra bulge? "That is not a cushion but my very own tummy. Hey, I am already in my thirties, what do you expect?" joked Hanwei. Gosh, we almost died laughing.
