Fiesta Layered Dip
Adapted from: Dutch Oven Entertaining, by: Dick Stucki
- 1 pkg (1.25 oz.) Taco Spice Seasoning Mix
- 1 lb. ground meat (beef, pork, sausage or turkey)
- 3/4 cup water
- 1 can (16 oz.) refried beans
- 2/3 cup grated Cheddar cheese
- 1 can (2.25 oz.) sliced ripe olives, drained
- 1 large tomato, chopped
- 1 large avocado, mashed
- 2/3 cup sour cream
- 3/4 cup salsa (hot, medium or mild - your favorite)
- 1/2 cup sliced green onions
In a 10" Dutch oven,
Prepare ground meat according to taco spice directions.
Add refried beans, mix together and heat 5-10 more minutes.
Take Dutch oven off of the heat and layer remaining ingredients in order listed.
Serve with tortilla chips.
