Not Your Mama's Baked Beans
- 1½ lbs. Ground Sausage (or Beef, or Pork)
- ½ lb. Bacon (cut in 1" pieces)
- 1 Can (10oz) Small Kidney Beans (drained)
- 1 Can (10oz) Pinto Beans
- 1 Can (10oz) Navy Beans
- 1 Can (16oz) Pork & Beans
- 1 Lrg. Onion (diced)
- 8 oz. Barbecue Sauce
- ¼ Cup Dark Brown Sugar
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 Tbl. Vinegar
- ½ pkg. Dry Onion Soup Mix
In a 12" Dutch oven, fry Bacon well over 13-15 briquettes.
Add Ground Meat and diced Onion, and cook till onions are soft and translucent.
Add in the remaining ingredients and mix together well.
Cook covered for 35-45 minutes.
Use 8-10 coals on bottom and 6-8 coals on top.
Top
