Depending upon the number of people at the meeting these two roles
are sometimes filled by one person. The Ah Counter The purpose of the ah counter is to note words and sounds used a a "crutch" or a "pause filler" by anyone who speaks during the meeting. Words may be inappropriate interjections such as "and, well, but, so, you know." Sounds may be3 "ah, um, er." You should also note when a speaker repeats a word or phrase. A report back to the General Evaluator and the club will be made. You will highlight the person with the most infractions but should also highlight people who have done a great job today and maybe some of the more common infractions. The person with the most infractions is fined 25 cents (if he/she has not used the word of the day) The Grammarian |
