Like most of the other youkais, Kouga searches for pieces of the shikon no tama. When Inuyasha killed his wolves, Kouga went to fight him. He then found out that Kagome could see/sense the shikon no kakera when it's around. Afterward, Kouga planned an attack where he could steal Kagome (Shippo tagged along too!). Miroku found out Kouga's plan and Inuyasha got very pissed...they then found a trail of little mushrooms that Shippo had left behind (so cute!). Inuyasha and others found them and then fought against some monsters (the gokurakuchou). From then on Kouga popped in on certain scenes...
*Personality/Traits:
Kouga (to me) seems similar to Inuyasha in some ways, except for the fact that he likes to run away from some fights... I guess it's just the way those two talk (pretty rudely and vulgar at times.) Other than that, Kouga seems to be able to show his feelings easily. He even tells Inuyasha that he's 'in love' with Kagome (which shocked him).
