Various Bits and Bobs
Or, A Truly Rambling Mini-Biography
Hopefully one that isn't too self-aggrandizing. In short, I'm a queer practicing witch living in Philadelphia and trying to find somone who'll put my recent B.A. in Anthropology to use. I've been a fantasy fan for roughly half my life, now--ever since I picked up a Sword and Sorceress Anthology (edited by the late, utterly divine, Marion Zimmer Bradley), it captured my attention. I didn't read the LOTR books until almost a year ago--I have a distinct memory of very, very impatiently having to wait two days to get Return of the King, as I needed the Christmas money! So, yes, unfortunately I'm one of those wannabe geeks who had to be turned on by the movie, first.
In more interesting matters, I consider myself an activist, specifically for gender and sexuality rights. I've become deeply involved in V-Day as a part of this, as well as trying to live day-to-day as an activist. I take my religion seriously as well; any questions or discussion you have are welcome.
Aside from giving my life and a large part of my brain over to Merry and Pippin, I like comics (Alan Moore's work specifically), a large variety of crafts, coffee, shopping, dancing and am trying to stay a voracious reader. Among other things.
