On Saturday, July 12, President Tom McNulty called the meeting to order and led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance.

The minutes of the June14th meeting were read and approved.

The treasurer’s report was read.  The Urbans had paid their dues at the June gathering and this brought our total in the General Fund of $158.38 and the Bereavement Fund to $26.00.  The report was approved.

Dave and Joy Bump were thanked for hosting the Hospitality, especially the homemade ice cream.  Charlie and Vickie were thanked for hosting a Saturday breakfast with delicious biscuits and gravy.

Birthdays for July were Gerald Smith, Charlie Hurst, Joy Bump, Sue Smith, Linda Young, Hayward Pack and Dan Adams.  Anniversary for the month is #46 for Tom and Judy McNulty.

Prayers were asked for the Browns as they continue their recovery from the flood, Carol and Charlie Nelson’s grandson having surgery, Donna Hobbs mother, Vickie Hurst’s parents, Gene and Jean Brooks daughter, Sherri having a nerve implant and Dexter Coleman undergoing surgery.

Old Business

Dave Bump reported he was able to update the website using the old program.  He requested any photos taken at the June Meeting be sent to him to include on the site.

On July 5 the Committee headed by Charlie Nelson met to go over the comments sent concerning membership.  The committee came up with 2 options and they were sent to all members by e-mail.  Each unit was to vote on the options by July 15.  A report will be given at the August meeting.

Dave Bump stated that he did not like either option.  He said he had a compromise and made a motion that nothing be changed in our membership rulings except that we should be able to invite family and friends to join us at our monthly campouts any time.  Guests would be able to attend Hospitality, pitch in or eat outs, campfire gatherings, any group activities during the weekend.  They could attend the business meeting, but would not be able to vote or have a voice.  Vickie Hurst seconded the motion.  After a lively discussion the motion was put to a vote.  The count was 13 in favor, one no vote, and 2 abstained.

There was no new business.

Our next campout will be at Lincoln State Park at Dale, Indiana.  Hayward and Betty Pack will be our hosts.  Becky Colbert passed around a packet of brochures about the area.  After a brief discussion, we decided to eat out.  Charlie and Vickie Hurst will check out restaurants in the area.

Dave Bump made a motion that we adjourn the meeting and Dave Hobbs seconded it.  Meeting was adjourned with Keith Colbert giving the closing prayer.

Door Prizes won by Frank McPherson, Bumps, and Hobbs.

Joy Bump, Secretary

Joy’s Notes:

Our prayers are with the Rutter’s.  They came for the campout, but had to leave on Thursday Evening to attend two funerals.  We welcomed the Pack’s back to the group.  That is a mighty fine looking new trailer you love birds.  We welcomed the Hess’s back.  Bob you are looking good after all your health issues.

Several of us visited the Pioneer Village.  Saturday was so hot it was difficult to enjoy the music groups that performed.  Tom needed Judy with him to keep him focused.  We missed her and hope she had a good time visiting relatives in Pennsylvania.
