Bringing Back the Angel

Who is that girl I see
Staring back at me?
A stranger for sure
But she stares with such fury.

A familiar face
That can't be placed.
From where is this girl?
My head spins in a whirl.

Memories come in a flash
Of two girls that clash.
Both look the same
But one is filled with shame.

Once a beauty
No longer a cutie.
She chose pleasure
Over treasure.

The other gained respect
Living more correct.
She had a heart of love
Sweet as an angel from above.

Girl number one
Can't believe what she's done.
She's gone off track
And can't take it back.

She wants to make a last
To her ways of the past.
Her heart says she'll know when
It's right to do it again.

She becomes torn apart
From not following her heart.
Why can't she keep it true
Like girl number two?

I shook my head.
Then my eyes bled-
A blood crystal clear,
As I stared in the mirror.

Both girls are me
As far as I can see.
But the good has gone
And the bad has won.

How I'd love to meet
The girl who was so sweet.
Will I never?
Is she gone forever?

If she's said good-bye
I will surely die.
Cuz I want to feel the love
Of that angel from above.
