A Mother's Day Poem

April Showers
Bring May flowers.
Beautiful for Mother's Day
But soon go away.

Your beauty Mother
Is unlike any other.
You shine your best
From one day to the next.

I hold you close to my heart
Through all the distance we are apart.
You've become my friend
By my side to the end.

We'd sit and play with toys
And you'd protect me from the boys.
You taught me right from wrong
And how to be strong.

You've helped me to see
I can be what I want to be,
To stay on the right track
And never look back.

When my eyes filled with tears,
You helped to spread cheer.
You were there
When I needed care.

I love you
For everything you do.
And no other
Could be a better mother.
