If your like me, you hate chat rooms, but
it's nice to talk to someone live instead of emailing back and
forth. Joe Vargas ('71) turned
me onto this little desktop program. You have your own
little chat room on your desktop and now you can hold on line
conferencing.
Here's a website that Joe Vargas ('71) recommended. It's called the The American Information Network, Inc. There goal is to help track down missing friends and relatives
Here Comes The Guide
Lesley
Kim ('88) has used this
book to create events & it sounds like a must have to
do a reunion. If your on the planning committee for your
class this is the book to get before you start contacting
hotels for banquet rooms.
Even if your not
planning a reunion or wedding this book sounds like a great
reference. Check the library, if you don't want to buy it.
(Will provide a review, once I
obtain the book, or if you have used the book and have an
opinion, will reprint it here.)
it's published by Hopscotch Press. It's available at any bookstore --
look in the wedding guide section. Their website address
is: www.HereComesTheGuide.com
They also have a hotline with
updated site information: (510) 466-5125.
For those who are in the market for
a program that creates booklets, fliers, banners, etc. The
new Print Shop has it all. You can certainly spiffy up your next
reunion with this program and not spend an arm and a leg doing
it. You might want to visit The
Print Shop Web site.
Ran into a guy at Luckys in
the beer section. Started talking to him and he recommended
a company called Lind Brewing on Davis St. in San
Leandro. Lind Brewing sells beer in concentrated
form at a very good price. All you have to do is rent a CO2
canister.
Lind Brewing
has beer tasting from 5 - 6 pm on Fridays. Lind Brewing
is located in the old Costco shopping center,
somewhere behind Sportsmart.
