Lyrics: Dear God, I thought I'd write you a letter,
you see, you're line is always busy so I thought this might
get there faster. and I... and I... You see, this man came up the other day asking "is he you're saviour?", and I said "well yeah, I think so" but then he started thinking faster. He said I've got to patch these holes, so no one can see, saying right now God, you wouldn't get along with me and I wonder who sent him there. Saying, your biggest problem is the length of your hair, well I...and I... So I grabbed a pen with nothing new to say to you these days except that you're losing your crowd. It's been an awful lot longer than 40 nights and days and an awful lot of people drown. It's conversations like these that make me think you're not known the same to anyone but me. I wish you'd pick up soon so we could have this great big argument, then I'd know exactly what I should believe. God knows, you know, I know I want eternity. So drop me a sign or two please. If you're in my neighbourhood, you know where to find me because I want to believe... and I... want to believe.
