An exciting, wild show. It's tough to hear Bonzo, as the guitar is way up front. Jimmy Page is truly amazing and it's obvious that he is being incredibly inspired by his still-new bandmates. "You Shook Me" blows the mind. The fastest solo I've ever heard Jimmy Page play is in "How Many More Times". Awesome.

Led Zeppelin's first show ever in Canada and Plant is in fine form vocally. They play one of the best early versions of "Dazed and Confused" -- confident and menacing. The sound isn't perfect, but fine for listening, I guess. There's a few rough spots though. "You Shook Me"s solo is cut unfortunately. "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You" is introduced (Plant mentions Joan Baez), but it's not on the tape.

Not an excellent recording, but an OK one. It's good to listen to. There are some different, improvised sections (ie. the end of "Dazed and Confused") which sound cool. Plant amuses all with his words in "Killing Floor". The sound isn't as fluid as normal, but it's still quite early in Led Zep history.

A newly-discovered tape of a radio broadcast hosted by Alexis Korner, this was previously only dreamed about. The recording is kind of aged, but in quite good condition. "WIAWSNB" is pretty straight-forward and very slightly cut at the end. "I Can't Quit You Baby" has some adlibbed lyrics and Jones' bass really shines through. "You Shook Me" shows Plant's harmonica talent. "Sunshine Woman" is a one-time performance and a cool song.

The entire band in crystal clear glory! It is a true joy to hear Jones' bass and Bonham's drums so clearly recorded for once. "As Long As I Have You" is just so incredible that it blows Jones' bass amp midway through the song! "Killing Floor" is a killer, what a powerful performance. Easily one of my favorite concerts/bootlegs.

Yes, "How Many More Times" has "The Woody Woodpecker Song" on it. Really. I'm not making that up. "For What It's Worth" is a weird version. The band is amazingly tight and together tonight. The sound is not the best audience recording... it could be a bit better, it could be a lot worse.

Dynamic and crazy. The sound isn't perfect, but the strong performance still shines through. The two songs from "LED ZEPPELIN II" are performed on stage for the first time. The sound clears up after the first two songs. The best violin bow/guitar segment I've heard is in "Dazed and Confused".
