[Well, after the major "controversy" last summer (1994) over
what we could translate {the title} as, here's my try at it.] [BC]
[Bob suggested "Cliff Notes(TM) of Love", which IMHO the closest equivalent
of the Japanese original, IMHO. I don't remember if I suggested
anything last summer, but I really like Bob's suggestion. But it may be
better to keep it as "A Chart-Styled Love", and have footnotes...] [YS]

(In the "normal" compilation, there's a filler page (p125) prior to the
start of the chapter. The three loonies are sitting in a triangle,
Yotsuya facing to the reader's right, Ichinose to the left, and Akemi
between the two, holding a cigarette and facing the reader.)

The title page shows Yagami and her three cronies sitting in a square next
to a tree and in front of a fence which is only partially drawn. They're
all eating lunch from their bentou. The Crony in Front of Yagami (with a
ponytail) is apparently ignoring the intense conversation taking place, but
the Crony to Yagami's Left (with long hair) and the Crony to Yagami's Right
(with short hair and freckles you can't yet see) look at Yagami in shock.

Shougakukan. It's one of those words that people often write wrong, and
