Dei is a baby thing that looks like a light purple and pink dinosaur.
He can be found on the cartoon "Kyouryuu Wakusei" (Dino-Planet).
This cartoon was on a show called Whiz Kids on T.V. Japan. The plot of this
show is that a girl named Moe (Moy) has been transported back in time to the dinosaurs
in the form
of a cartoon by a super-computer called Akirikahn. Akirikahn appears
as a computer-generated hologram that is a turtle in an old tin can
wearing pink slippers. He has a human helper; a boy named Stumoo or something. They keep in touch with Moe by
a video camera and a microphone that she wears like a headset. There's a picture at the top of Dei
holding the headset. When
Moe gets in trouble then Akirikahn creates a Time Hole that transports
her to another spot in time or space. Sometimes Time Holes appear naturally.
After creating a Time Hole then Akirikahn becomes exhausted and often
falls asleep. Moe also has other gadgets that you discover while watching the show.
One of the real nifty things she has is a thingy on her wrist
that, when activated, slows down time to the point that any action Moe
manages while in this state is magnified so much when time is restored to proper speed
that she is able to toss a fully grown T-Rex literally miles.
It is all in Japanese so sometimes what's going on is not clear.
Dei is my favorite character because he's cute and squeaky. In the earlier episodes he can't talk but he learns how to talk later. His first word is "Moe". Dei is a big part in the plot because these evil things that look like aliens want his race to never have happened. In one scene they're all blasting Dei's ancestors. The evil things spaceship in in a lake which contaminates the water supply. It frightens Dei and Moe when they discover a field covered with dead dinosaurs. The dinosaurs have weird spots on their tongues. Sometimes their heads just fall off. This scares Dei so he squeaks.
I have a kitten named Kort Dei because he makes noises like Dei. Sort of
like Eh? ehhh? but real squeaky. Here is a picture.
