In high school the man that made my jaw drop was Maxfield Parrish, due to his use of blue.
My favorite painting of all-time is by my mother. She doesn't like it because it is unfinished but it's been that way ever since I can remember. Perhaps it is because I was exposed so heavily to that piece as a child that I love it as more of a sentimental ornament. The colors are lovely and I believe it needs no further work. I am saddened now by memories of not handling it gently when it lived in the garage and will frame it when my mother passes on.

Howard photos are always eye catching. In general I like darker
images, not necessarily shot in black and white or even of an evil
nature, but something which evokes the dark passions we all feel.
