Comments: In your Rickenbacker photo gallery the 325/12 was (and still is) John's. Manufactured as a one off in March of 1964 and shipped to England. Used as a backup guitar on 64 and 65 tours. Might have been used on some recordings.

Comments: Except for real Beatles fans I think the young crowd percieve The Beatles as a simple silly band, which infuriates me!Sgt.Pepper was recorded in four track stereo, talk about innovation!Every Beatles recorded sounded different and mostly George changed th sound of his guitars on almost every record. They used symphony music,sitar, picollo trumpets,mellotrons and many other obscure instruments. They we're far from silly or simple. But seriuos and complex.I think the most overlooked about The Beatles is the had no peers and they gave 110 percent on each song.That's why The Beatles are the greatest rock and roll band of all time!

Comments: Howdy. Hey, nice site you got. But, I had some corrections for you on your Beatles Rickenbacker guitar page. I'm a avid collector of Ricky's so I hope I can provide you with some helpful info on your site. For your pictures, the Rickenbacker 325-12 was a guitar that was specially made for John Lennon. He hardly ever used it becuase of the combination of 12-strings on a short-scale neck made it difficult for him to play. The next pic you have is not a 325 hat George Harrison played. This is John Lennon's first 325 that he had aquired. It was originally in natural colored finish that he later painted black. The "whammy bar" is a Bigsby B-5 vibrato tailpiece. And the second to the last pic of is not John's g itar. The Rickenbacker 425 is George Harrison's first Ricky that he used briefly in 1963. He had purchased this guitar while on vacation in the US with his brother. He did not like the feel of this guitar and went back to playing his Black Gretch Country entleman. Hope this is a little helpful. Other than that, I love your page. Good job!!
