Orbital

Taking their name from the dreaded stretch of highway that encircles the U.K. capital, Orbital consists of brothers Phil and Paul Hartnoll. Their first recorded output was the 1990 release of the now classic anthem "Chime" which reached #17 on the Nataional charts. In 1991, Orbital's untitled debut album pioneered the idea of British electronic music for home listening as weel as for dancing. Orbital's music has been thrown into remixes produced by such notables as Meat Beat, Manifesta, EMF, and Queen Latifah. Their latest album, In Sides, was released on June 4, 1996 and the band continues to tour extensively both in the U.K. and the U.S. Orbital was one of the main events this past summer at the Snow Valley Ski Resort for the techno gathering titled, Organic '96. At this year's KROQ Almost Acoustic Christ, as they shoudl definately be a standout as they are the only techno-style musicians in the house.
