ACROSS THE POND

My arms are tired, but I finally made it across the Atlantic and am in Leeds, England. I'm glad to see that you are interested in my travels. Although it may have taken relentless emailing, I'm glad you decided to stop by.

Here's what's around:

British universities dont seem to have caught on to the concept of phone lines in their flats yet! So, I had to resort to getting a pager. Guess I can no longer make fun of Amy and her friends. Find the number, my address and other stuff here.

My summer was much more eventful than the two pictures I have. This was definitely the major highlight of my summer. Can you guess what it may be... thanks for making me call KTYD, Justin.

I flew from San Fran to Heathrow on Sun. September 24, 1997. I stayed in London for a few days with other UC students, then rushed up to Leeds. Here are some shots of my abbreviated stay in London... including my historical pose.

The first weekend I was here, all the lost and confused foreigners were bussed to York. So, on Sun. September 31, 1997 I headed to York for a day as a lost foreigner.

Well, once my flatmates moved in, I was able to unpack and settle in. Here are some pictures of my little flat. No balcony to sit and watch jogging girls from, but it will do for this year.

Well, somehow I managed to find the most American place in England on my first day out of town. We went to Blackpool, which is like Vegas and Florida set down on Venice Beach. It was pretty much a joke, but I got to go on "The Big One" which they claim is the world's tallest roller coaster. I thought it was the one outside of Vegas... oh well. We'll let them have their moment of glory.

OK... I'm working on it all right now. The pictures and everything will be here soon. I also plan on having a little journal which will mostly be for mom and dad and other family who are intersted since I know most friends may not be too interested.
