Mohegan Sun Wolf Den

(l to r) Robby Steinhardt and Billy Greer

The legendary 70's progrock group Kansas lit up the Mohegan Sun Wolf Den on May 21st. This performance was a real treat. They played their biggest hits (Carry On Wayward Son, Dust In the Wind) plus many surprises including a stirring rendition of The Beatles' Eleanor Rigby.

The current lineup is Phil Ehart (drums), Billy Greer (bass guitar, vocals), Robby Steinhardt (violin, vocals), Steve Walsh (lead vocals, keyboards) and Richard Williams (lead and acoustic guitar). This lineup plus former (and also founding) members, Kerry Livgren and Dave Hope, will appear on the next Kansas release entitled Somewhere To Elsewhere (on Magna Carta Records). No word yet on whether Livgren and Hope will perform live with their former bandmates when Kansas hits the road again this summer in support of Yes (see our concert calendar for details).
