FAQ-Frequently Asked Questions
Q. I can't read any of the hebrew files, they just look like chinese to me!
A. To view the songs, u need to have hebrew fonts installed in your BROWSER.
go to Walla's Download section, download hebrew fonts appropriate for your system, then choose fonts on your browser- Web Hebrew AD - 4 the proportional Font & Web Hebrew Monospace 4 the fixed font
Q. Fine, I installed the hebrew fonts, but when I choose the hebrew version of a song I
still get giberish.
A. All songs come in 3 forms, The hebrew version of the song is the MS-Dos version. Since
You're probably using Windows, Choose The Browser-Heb version of the song.
Q. OK, I can see the song on my browser, but when I save it and later try to print it, it comes in mirror form
A. Thats because The songs are not made for word or write for windows, but for the WWW
Browsers. To print, u can either :
1. Download the Browser-Heb version. When you want to print, enter your browser, load the file from your Hard disk, and chhose FILE-PRINT. It should come out OK.
2. Download the Hebrew version, and then use a DOS editor (such as Q-text) to print it. Alternatively, simply write *** copy songname.txt prn *** at the DOS prompt, and it will print it.
Q. I tried all your so called solutions and still came up empty. Now What?
A. Thats all my limited technical knowledge can come up with. Maybe the guys at the Tapuz Israeli Search Engine have an Idea. Check out their FAQ about printing solutions.
Q. I have a great song I want to send you, in which form should I do that?
A. The Best form is in simple ASCII using a DOS text editor. If you don't use DOS
anymore, then any windows editor will do nicely. email me and attach the song file/s to it. Writing the song as an actual E-mail message is not a great Idea, because it requires a lot of work on my part to change it to one of the above forms. Also send the songs in HEBREW ONLY. If u send songs in fonetic english, I have to do the translation myself, and I can't gaurantee I'll have the time...
Q. What do you get out of all this?
A. Umm... well.... you see it's like this.... OK, OK, I get nothing from doing this, but it's a dirty job, and someone has to do it!
