THE GIRL WHO FELL
Round and round she goes skating across the ice,
She's dressed in a sparkling outfit that makes her look so nice.
The judge looks carefully at every move she makes,
The girl is trying very hard not to make a mistake.
The crowd was big the seats were filled and everything was well.
But then,as she was skating, she lost her step and fell.
The crowd went quiet, the judge looked up as she was on the floor
She looked around and really wished she could run right the door.
But as she rose, she saw her mother who had been there all the while,
And then as she looked up at her she saw a great big smile.
That smile gave her courage to finish out the dance,
She wanted to do so well but knew she had lost her chance.
When she was through she looked up and her score did really shine,
Her score the judge was holding was a smashing nine point nine.
After it was over she looked aroung and gazed
The crowd gave her a standing ovation and she was quite amazed.
She asked the judge why he gave her such a high and smashing score
He just said this before he walked out the door.
"It doesn't matter that you fell. No it matters not at all.
The thing that really matters is that you rose when you did fall.
So if you think you have failed don't worry cause everyone has trials
So everyday as the morning begins start it out with a great big smile."
