"Obese or not Obese, that is the problem"    ...... or

"Nightmare on Elbow Street"

Day 5

This will be my first trip to the far north of Norway and to begin with we fly from Oslo to Bodo, about 80 minutes.

We all met at the airport and it was fun flying together. We donīt do that much, we usually meet at the destination.

The flight itself was uneventful but the scenery was spectacular, almost impossible to describe and every view was like some kind of magnificent postcard.

The difficulties began at the airport in Bode when the person driving us was more interested in having me take pictures with him and signing albums for his friends than he was in taking care of us.

It was the first in a series of challenging things we would have to deal with, being way out in the sticks and working with extremely enthusiastic but professionally inexperienced people.

We work hard as a band and I work extremely hard as an individual to prepare ourselves for every show, every professional event and all we ask for are the tools to do our job.

We send out detailed technical and general riders in plenty of time, so that, on those occasions when we donīt have our own back-line, everyone is fully aware of our needs and priorities. Most of the time this is all dealt with satisfactorily.

Suffice it to say that this was not one of those times but, as always, we battled through and in the end had a great show.

After the normal moments of signing and taking pictures I headed quickly back to the hotel. By now, my mind was firmly fixed on going home and I wanted to sleep as much as possible.

I think I fell asleep before I even finished my prayers.
