![]() THE ESSENCE reflects not only the vocal skills of the artiste, but also showcases a propensity for lyrical maturity and sensitivity. At the end of it all, she may make her mark as a recorded artiste, but her hallmark will always be lyrical artistry. Listen for the poignancy, imagery, depth of emotion and appreciation for life. Lulu Bergasse is a great listen for all these reasons, and then some!!!...." BARBARA JACOBS SMALL - Programme Manager, RADIO ST. LUCIA.

"...1998 will be
remembered for the production of excellent music in St. Lucia. The Essence is a wonderful album with contemporary lyrics and Seventies sounding melodies. From the opening track - Feel the Freedom, the album contains uplifting, soul-searching lyrics and well arranged music. All of the music is relevant to the times we live in and the pressures faced by young and old alike. Distant Thunder, one of the older tracks seems to maintain it's relevance year after year as the world engages in one conflict after the other. By far, my favourite song is the last title track, a moving, sentimental piece with deeply rooted pains of loss and hopes for endurance. You won't regret buying this album..." LIFESTYLES MAGAZINE
