Erin is a twentysomething human(?) female with a penchant for all things musical, astronomical, poetical, and medical. She voluntarily spent five undergrad years in college*, learning all about creative writing, with a little biology, geology, neuropsychology, astrobiology, religion, and French thrown in. Because Erin actually had the nerve to major in creative writing, it's rather self-evident that she loves loves loves to write, mostly poetry and science fiction, which are completely not related, but she doesn't care. She also very much likes to ride on ambulances and help people, and she's even allowed to do this since she has an EMT card. We see her musical side emerge when she pulls out her beautiful silver trumpet, plunks a few keys of the nearest piano, or strums her bass guitar. Along these musical lines, she is a longtime "devotee" of punk rock, ska, and krishnacore. Other musical genres of interest include classical, jazz, swing, bhangra, alternative, country, and techno. Erin has been a Zen Buddhist for the past few years, and is enamored with religions of all shapes and sizes, especially prophetic ones like Mormonism. She's also a big fan of languages. On her list of ones to learn are Attic Greek, Hebrew, Sanskrit, Spanish, German, and Slovak. Progress is slow, but she has an estimated 50 years of lifespan left to get through the list. Wish her luck--she'll need it. So what is Erin doing with her life? Well, in short, she's just as eager to find out as you are. Medical school is high on the list and preliminary application schtuff is being prepared at this very moment. She also wants to be an science fiction author and perhaps a poet. Right now she's taking a few years off in between college and medical school, and is currently working (and volunteering) as an EMT, and as a polysomnographic technician. She is also a paramedic student, due to graduate in May 2005, after which she'll be able to give drugs, do IVs, ETTs, and RSI, and lots of other fun things. Oh the poor, poor patients.... ;-)
