What brought on this change you ask. Well, as much as we know is a war broke out that at the end of it there was a great attack and it killed a large amount of people. Now, one thing you need to know is that everyone on the earth has some magical energy in them. At the point of death this energy is multiplied by four. When all of these people died at once and all of there energy was let out they created the magical bands called Ley lines. They are the major source of magic. This also created some places were they crossed. These areas are called nexes points. They also created dimentional portals that creatures came through. They are called D-Bees.
Another thing that has happened is that Atlantis has returned to earth. It is now a place of danger and death. Also, the dragons have returned to the earth. Camolot has been recreated from the ashes, but it holds a dark secret. Africa is a place you don't go unless you are either you are VERY powerful, or you have a death wish. North America is now run by the Coalishoin. Theya re a army that want to kill all D-Bees, poinics, or magic users.
