Both
Shanghai and Beijing are rapidly modernising, with Shanghai looking like Hong
Kong when it was in a similar stage of development. Shanghai even has the
equivalent of the Hong Kong harbour - The waterfront between the Bund and
Pudong. Like in all cities in China, you can see cheesy monuments and buildings
along with the amazing and beautiful buildings from before the Cultural Revolution.
