On April 14, 1996 I had the opportunity to go and see A Foo Fighters Show. It was a great show. Foo had some great opening bands for them that night. Th bands were The Amps and That Dog. We found out later that That Dog wasn't going to perform since they don't like Florida.
While waiting outside the music hall my friends and I waited by the tour buses. And one of my friends could have sworn that she saw Kim Deal. So, we decided to sit outside the door and see for ourselves. Soon enough Kim Deal and the Amps came out. Kim was looking so beautiful that evening. She was very friendly to us and we all talked for about 20 minutes. We talked about the show she was going to be playing, we asked how Kelley was doing, and other small talk. After she said bye she went inside right past all the fans and they didn't even notice her. I was very surprised.
After we were in line the Foo Fighters bus came down the street. Every body knew it was them and people were screaming and going crazy. I went to check out the bus but, the security guards made us all go away. oh well.
Like I said before the Amps rocked the stage as the opening act. All these jocks were yelling to kim remarks like "Take off your shirt!", and "Show us your tits!". I hate pricks like that. Later when Foo Fighters came on Dave said "To all those assholes who were yelling for Kim to take her shit off and shit. Well fuck you!" It was so cool. Foo played the usual songs from the first album. Later during the encore Foo played "Down in the Park" and a new song back then "Enough Space".
