It was snowing out. We left our house to meet up with some friends. We got to their house and piled back into the car. Then drove to me someone’s sister at work. Where we then separated into two cars. We followed the other car, they thought they knew the way. The University was big we didn’t know which building we were suppose to be at. After driving all over the campus we finally noticed the signs pointed to where the show was. There were no parking places to be found so we took our chances and parked in a No Parking Tow Zone and entered the building. When you walk through the doors there was a waiting room like place with couches and a group of people hanging around waiting. They were waiting for the security to set up the metal detectors ( I guess that a couple months before someone brought a gun to an Alanis Morissette show). About 15 minutes later a lined formed and we were in. The stage was about 3 feet off the floor, there were barriers up and body guards. There was about 20 people in there. We went up front. Talked to a cute security guard, while we waited for the opening band. Flying Nuns came on. I couldn’t get into their songs. The audience just stood there. Letters to Cleo took finally took to the stage and put on a great show. Again the audience was totally dead until they playing “Here and Now." To then which they all were dancing and singing along. After the song half the crowd left. The looked somewhat pissed about that. We were all pissed too. Kay (the lead singer) made a comment about that. Some of people we were with attempted to crows surf. The other people at the show were clueless as to what to do. Toward the end of their set some (idiot) asked if they could play some cover songs instead. Again the band seemed to get mad. After their set we stayed around and waited for the small crowd of about 150 to leave. We were on our way out when we saw Stacy (the drummer). We approached him he was very nice we told him they rocked tonight and other stuff. He signed some stuff including one of his drum sticks that he gave to someone that was with us. My sister asked if Kay was gonna come out. He said he’ll go ask her. He left then the cops came over to us and tried to make us leave. Then we saw Scott (the bassist) and he told them that we could stay. We thanked him got his autograph and talked awhile with him. Told him how much we enjoyed their show. He was very friendly just as if we best friends. Then we asked him if Kay would be coming out. He said probably not, she’s kind of mad about what happen earlier with the people who walked out. Then we went on about the posers that left too. We asked if we could maybe go back there to see Kay and thank her. He said, we really can’t let you, but if you want I'll have her sign some stuff for you guys. We said yeah thanks and gave him some stuff. We told him to tell her we said thanks for putting on such a great show. He left. Then Stacy came back out and told us that Kay was kind of busy. We told him Scott went to get her autograph us though. We talked to him a little more and Scott came back out with our stuff that Kay had signed. The janitors really wanted to finish cleaning up and the cops kicked us out. We said bye’s and thank you’s and left. The cars didn’t get towed, we headed home.
