List Owner: Please use the above e-mail if you ever need to get in contact with the owners of the list, (if you have trouble unsubscribing, or have questions about the list itself) Here's some general information on The Spirit Of Talk Talk Mailing List This is the introductory page for the Sprit Of Talk Talk mailing list. Please read this page carefully before joining and/or posting to the list; it contains information about list etiquette and instructions on using the mailing list software. (If you're new to mailing lists, you may wish to keep a copy of this message around or bookmark this page for future reference.) This page also contains a biography for Talk Talk, as well as links to other Talk Talk sites. The Spirit Of Talk Talk Mailing List discusses the work of Talk Talk and related groups or solo work or projects - such as releases by Mark Hollis, Tim Friese-Greene, Orang, etc. Return to the main page of Spirit Of Talk Talk, enter your e-mail address in the subscribe box, and check your e-mail account for further instructions. The procedure is easy to follow, and involves you registering with Egroups and subscribing to the list by simply replying to a confirmation e-mail. Full details on how to unsubscribe are also available at Egroups, and will be mailed to you in a welcome message when you have confirmed your subscription. Once you are subscribed, you will recieve each message as it is posted to the list. If you wish, it is possible to have the messages sent to you in a digest format. This involves all the messages from one day being sent to you in one e-mail, rather than several separate e-mails, at the end of each day. This facility means you can prevent your mail account from being flooded with messages during periods when the amount of material sent to the list is high. The only disadvantage of this option is that you won't get the messages quite as fast as some of the other subscribers. For further queries about converting your subscription to the digest format then please contact the list administrators. All postings to the list should go to spiritoftalktalk@onelist.com. Messages sent to this address will immediately be forwarded to all members of the list. It is evry important that you send messages from the account you used to subscribe to the list, otherwise your mail will not be posted on to the list - this feature is needed to prevent spam mail and missuse of the list. New members are encouraged to introduce themselves. When you join, please send a message to the list, and tell everyone how you discovered Talk Talk, which album is your favourite, and just why their music is so special for you. The messages you send to the list will be going to almost 50 other people. For their convenience you should try to follow the usual rules of list courtesy:
Avoid long signatures (four lines is a good size).
If someone else is misbehaving on the list, please EMAIL THE LIST OWNERS
The following kinds of messages are *never* welcome on the list, and posting them might result in your being removed, so be careful!
