First the good stuff: Expect the new upgrade beta tomorrow (Friday).
If not, expect it Monday...but I'm pretty sure it will be
out tomorrow since it was actually supposed to be out today.
This upgrade I know will contain an updated version of IRC
which means we will be able to use most if not all regular IRC
commands! Yes. That is good news. Games: 5-6 weeks left
for online gaming. The games will be cheaper and will be
"packaged" with something for people who didn't buy, say,
the Sega Rally Plus. I'm not to clear on that but that's
what I was told. So, the games WILL be cheaper as I expected. :)
This is all confirmed. I told "him/her" (security purposes)
that today I was gonna buy the regular Sega Rally and
he/she said "no do not buy that! Just wait 5-6 weeks and get
it for a lot cheaper! hmmm it also sounded like
there will be something "special" that will be for those
who own the regular version of Sega Rally..maybe an upgrade?
Who knows. But "packaged" with something may mean something
"cool". I'm glad Sega is working hard on this and keep checking
here for everything on the upgrade tomorrow!!!
Note to 3-rd person perspective players: Do not by all means
buy Hexen for Saturn. Really choppy and lame :(

So, looks like Sega is joing with M path and X-band (same
company?) to offer the ONLINE games for $19.95 a month
for unlimited access. This is the alternitive way of
playing games without
spending big $$ for dialing direct long distance. I still
think it should be free :( Go to this "hidden" page to find

News April 27
Well, the issue on how the games will work/run is now becoming
very clear. Today, I found out that all (I believe) of
the Net Link games will have a browser built right into it
so that's how we will connect to the Internet to play ONLINE.
I don't know if many knew that but it now confirmed. I'm
guessing it's a small broswer not like 1.118. I don't
see why Sega would spend so much time on a good broswer built
in games cause all you're gonna do is play games right?

Copy and paste will be hard to pull of but we will be lucky
if we get it at all by the end of beta testing. Planet Web
will "see what they can do" by the end of beta. I sure
hope we get it because a lot of people will benifit from
it. More news to come (of course :)

Sega Rally Plus as I said before will contain a browser
by Planet Web (of course) and I stated it wouldn't be
"the greatest". I found out today that the browser in Sega
Rally will be more around beta 1.116. Not bad but we don't
need a super browser to play games!! Also, we just
may be unlucky for this upgrade period because Real Audio
may not make it this period. :( Planet Web makes upgrades
every 6 months after a cd is released. I suggest everyone
go to Planet Web
and go to the feedback form and ask for Real Audio to be
there by the cd release. Also, anything you want to request,
put it in the beta feedback form at Planet Web. Remember,
that form isn't just for bugs, it's also to request
features and THEY WILL LISTEN TO US!!! This is Planet Web,
not Sega ;) j/k :)
Today I requested more IRC commands like /whois, and kick
and ban etc, and urge you to do also. More news to come....
