Third Party started november 27th 1995 at a party in Pelham, New Hampshire, and no the name had nothing to do with it being a party, the name came about after i watched a service merchandice training video about insurance benefits and the words "Third Party" flashing up on the screen and going "oh, that's a good band name!".
the original lineup was Jason: guitar, vocals, Pete: drums, and Aaron: bass. we recorded a 4 track demo and played some shows, then recorded our 7" and a song for the runt of the litter volume 2 local comp cd (with dropkick murphys, ducky boys, pinkerton thugs, etc.) and played some more shows and then Aaron quit the band to pursue a less rocked out lifestyle and play andrew lloyd webber tunes on his piano, so we tried out lots and lots of bass players until settling with Andy, from Yellow #5, with him we played alot more and recorded 49 songs at west sound studios, which were going to be on a cd but we later decided to scrap (seeing as how the recording is like over 2 years old at this point and we can do alot better).
but andy never had a job or any money, owed us alot for his share of things and for all the little things we bought him here and there, and his other band consuming his time got to be a problem seriously affecting us so we kicked him out in the late summer of 97 and began playing grindcore, then changed the grindcore bands name to id. and reformed third party with andy and were reletively inactive because of id. taking up our time and enerygy, playing a couple shows, and recording 4 songs for comps at music box studios and not having any new material to speak of besides that, since like summer of 97, and the most recent developments are that i've been writing songs for third party actively again and we kicked andy out again for failure to get his shit together in the 2 and a half years we've known him and we're planning on recording a new album of third party stuff, half old songs from the 2 year old recording session (the best songs from that session) and half new songs. and we're looking for a bass player. that's about it through june of 1999
