The drinks listed here were obtained from a variety of books, magazines, etc.... They have been modified to my own personal taste, and I think they're just slammin'!!! If you enjoy these, drop me a line and let me know! Also, if this isn't enough for you, (I realize that some people do not consider vodka as the nectar of the gods, though I pity the sadly misguided souls) check out the Virtual Bar . That site has what I believe to be the most comprehensive drink listing on the 'net. It is an absolute must visit! Try to remember that my enthusiasm for these drinks does not denote any expertise in bar tending or drink-making. Any bartenders out there that notice technical errors can feel free to flame me.

Anyone who has a good drink recipe involving Vodka, please let me know!

Just in case you over indulge.....

This is for those of you who may have enjoyed these recipes a little too much! Hangovers can certainly be a miserable experience, and the first two remedies that I will be discussing are not so much hangover treatment as they are hangover prevention. The next one is for those that didn't prepare and are already dealing with the effects.

Disclaimer: These are my own personal preferences for hangover relief. I am NOT a doctor. I believe these to be safe, but check them out with your doctor before you try them!

Method 1

The first method is an all-natural product called "AL-EASE". It claims to relieve the effects of a hangover, and I've found this to be undeniably true! This stuff works great! The only thing is, it is a bit expensive. If you are interested in trying AL-EASE, you can see for yourself here.

Method 2

The second method is cheaper, but also effective. Most of the symptoms of a hangover can be directly attributed to dehydration. When you drink, the alcohol robs your body of fluids and nutrients. Water is the most readily available remedy, but I've found that a big glass of any sport drink like Gatorade BEFORE going to bed helps greatly. I used to take aspirin along with this but have been told by many other people that taking aspirin with alcohol is not good for you. I am not a doctor and I do not know why this is, but as the saying goes, better safe than sorry....

Method 3

So you did not take my advice following either Method 1 or 2. Well, all hope is not lost. This method is simple and obvious, but you'd be surprised at how many people do not take advantage of it. Sleep, sleep, and more sleep! If you've got time to crash out for 8-10 hours, your hangover will be minimized. If you are unable to sleep this long, some type of pain reliever will help. Also, the morning after should start with some type of fruits or vegetables. These will replace lost nutrients in the body. Drink juices if you feel unable to eat. I do not recommend coffee. Though temporarily relieving some hangover symptoms, ingesting stimulants to counteract the depressants of alcohol will put you on the roller coaster for the whole day. Allowing the body to return to it's normal functions naturally is the best way to go.
