Pretty good, all round. Took me seat about half an hour before the bloody awful support act, turn round, and not 10 rows back, Bonehead and Alan having a fag. Bugger me, I thought. Then out walks Liam, right in front of us. "Alright mate?" Good start...It was more difficult meeting them last time, at a gig with about 400 people. This was more like 3500. Can't remember the exact set order, but roughly:
Swamp Song Acquiesce Supersonic Some Might Say Hello Roll With It Morning Glory Champagne Supernova Cigarettes And Alcohol ---Noel's Bit: Take Me Away Cast No Shadow Whatever/Octopus' Garden Don't Look Back In Anger (Full Band) Live Forever I Am The Walrus
Good to hear Take Me Away, I hadn't realized they were playing that. Liam seemed in supremely good mood...waving, blowing kisses, touching hands. Some bloke threw a Man City scarf on stage during Live Forever, so he wore that, then sarcastically led a crowd clap session for Walrus. Big instrumental bit at the end of Walrus, Liam decides he's a drummer, pisses around on Alan's kit, tells us cheers & take care, throws mike stand to floor, chucks his tambourine over his head, and then does the same with his beer bottle, which shatters about an inch from Noel's feet. Noel looks most unhappy, stares Liam off stage.
All in all, bloody good. Never seen Liam move around so much before (take that, all you Re:Oasis on stage=crap thread merchants...) Sound was excellent, and they dedicated Live Forever to The Stone Roses, which was a nice touch. One more song between Live Forever & Walrus would have been nice, but I'd lost me voice by then anyway.
Hope they're as good at Maine Rd, then maybe they'd like to piss off to the studio for a couple of months and give us a new single.
Cheers, Simon.

***** Reveiw 2 *****
Well, it is Sunday evening and still no Dallas reviews. Was it that late of a night? Long post but interesting (I think)
Anyways, my friend and I went to the Dallas show. We got in line and the doors opened shortly after 7pm. We went to our seats, which were located stage left in the upper section. We sat down and there were three other folks sitting in the top row. And yes, you know it. It was Bonehead and Alan White. Both of us brought CD's for the band to sign and we would never thought it was this easy. So, they were extremely nice. Then, as soon as we went back to our seats, Liam came out and sat down. We quickly rushed back up to meet Liam. He grabbed my hand and started shagging his whole body in a wierd motion and said a long drawn out "Dude". I told him that Oasis is the best band to come through Dallas since February last year. I was hoping he would catch the meaning, and he did!!! Liam said "You were at the show in February"? I replied yes and he signed a bunch of stuff for us.
It was funny because only two or three other folks came up. Here was the majority of Oasis sitting in the audience and people were looking at the threesome with question marks.
OK, the set as I remember (Help me Out fellow Texans) Swamp Song, Acquiesce, Supersonic, Hello, Some Might Say, Roll With It, Morning Glory, Cigs and Alcohol, Champaigne Supernova >>Take Me Away, Whatever (Octopuss Garden), Cast No Shadow, Wonderwall Liam was very animated. I think the crowd behavior was good, but I was not in the floor. The "Dallas Morning News" said the sound was great but the stage presence was dull. The reporter even said that Noel's acoustic set was like "John Denver" instead of "John Lennon". The reporter, whose name is Thor Christenson, spent much more good review on the opening band Tablet, which to me was a Smashing Pumpkin wannabe. Earlier, Noel told Thor that his name was funny. I think that is why Thor handpicked Noel to criticize.
OK, went backstage after the show. Was not impressed with what I saw. Plenty of drugs but no Noel or Liam. Also, my freind and I were practically the only ones backstage who knew the names of the band members and did not take part in the activities. Some of these folks backstage asked my freind "Who is that and what is the name of the singer?"
Did meet Noel later. He was sitting in the audience area chatting with some freinds. He was very genuine and classy. He too was impressed that I was at the first Dallas show. So, my stuff got signed. Did anyone else meet Noel in Dallas? He was the hardest to find. The only reason we saw him was because my freind went into the building to use the facility and saw Noel sitting there. This was at about Midnight.
I told Noel to have fun in Austin. Did he?
