Hi all,

10:25 Tuesday morning - Just recovered from Sunday. This was quite a good gig although not as good as Maine Road. It was a nice hot sunny day at Loch Lomond and I've got the burns to prove it!!

The site was quite large with stage at the bottom of a hill. It was a shame that there were also trees at the bottom of the hill too, which blocked the view considerably for a large part of the arena - a very strange idea. There were LOTS of stalls, most of which were for food but there was some for clothes, hats, rugs, etc, there was even the fairground like stall were you could win stuff!

Anyway, first on were the Gyres, which I would really like to see more of. There sound was great. Next up was the Bootleg Beatles. Quite a strange experience to see this crew dressed up in their bright pink, green and yellow suits. They were ok and got the crowd singing along which lifted the atmos. Then it was time for Ocean Colour Scene which in my opinion were the best band of the day. Great stuff from them doing most of the songs from the album. If only they could have been on longer. After the break it was time for Cast, who played quite a long set. They weren't quite as good live as I expected them to be but nevertheless they were interesting. Next, the special guests, Black Grape!!! What!!! We couldn't believe it. This bunch of $%£@ as special guests. We were seriously hoping formaybe the new look Stone Roses or even Squire's new possee but no luck. Didn't take any notice of Black Grape, went to the back of the arena for water. How it was needed!

Finally, after a big break, an absolutely huge water/bottle fight which involved about 75% of the crowd, Oasis finally appeared after the helicopter sounds, blue lights and Oasis trademark writing dripping off the video screens. Sun was going down and the scene was set. Liam came strutting out in his shorts and sunglasses, looking like a cross between Ian Brown and one of the Beatles. Noel was looking happy and seemed to be enjoying himself, as did the rest of the band. Can't remember the set too well but had most of the favourites including a different version of Aquiesce. They played two new songs, look out for the one called It's Getting Better, Man. The other new song wasn't as good by a long way. The Oasis sound wasn't as good as normal and was no where near loud enough as Noel pointed out to the sound people. They sounded a bit dodgy musically for the first third of the concert but after that they played superbly. The evening was going too fast and I was too tired. They dedicated Live Forever to Rob Collins which was good. The band then went off and screams for more resulted in Champagne Supernova. It was nearly all over but a huge jam session and plently of lights followed. Finally, the fireworks went off which were brilliant and got plenty of cheers.

Good stuff Oasis, I wish I could say the same for the people who did the organising. It took about an hour and a half to even get out of the venue!! There were only two gates for the whole concert to get out of and apparently someone forgot to open one of them!!!!

An ambulance had to get up the road while we were coming out, the police sent horses up the road to clear a way which was very intimidating to everyone and caused quite a few screams. The said ambulance was supposedly not even needed when it arrived. A lot of the crowd were Scottish and started to sing Scottish football songs and seemed to be getting annoyed with the time it was taking to get out. We also got some funny looks when we spoke (English) which was quite worrying so we stayed as quiet as we could! But the majority of the Scots were friendly and happy :) Anyway we eventually got out of the madness and set off on the long journey home. P.S. No thank you to the people who played Techno in the campsite until 5am Sunday and the drunk %$&* who kept staring us out at 9am Sunday - get a life mate & a better haircut.

A good time was had by most though, very good. :)
