NEWS:

UPDATE (October'99): Desire will probably be back on the stages! There are already some dates planned for October and possibly one in the Hard Club (Porto) in November.
As for the release of a live-tape, it's longer in the band's plans.
Desire's still without a label, there are however a couple of foreign labels interested in dealing with the band.

Presently (May'99) and after the recent problems regarding the line-up, momentarily solved, the band has pratically finished what will be the successor of the dramatic concept "Infinity...". On the other side, and after the rescission of the contract with the previous label, Desire is now searching for a new label that assures them better working conditions, mostly regarding a better distribution and promotion of the band's work. In the beginning of the present year of '99, the band elaborated a promotional CD containing themes included in the two previous studio works, with the purpose of achieving a new contract. Even though around 60% of the contacted labels haven't given any signs of life yet, there are some interested labels, although at the moment, there aren't any concrete proposals for releasing a new album. However, Desire has the purpose to record a new work during the present year, being probably released only in the beginning of the new millennium.
Simultaneously with all this, the edition of the live-tape, predicted for the beginning of the this year, has been constantly postponed, but it should be released before the end of '99. The interested label is the recently created Requiem Productions (for more informations contact Apartado 52.020, 1721-501 Lisboa), creating in this way some basis to develop a good work in the future. As it was predicted, "The Desire Is Still A'Live" will have one hour of Desire live, with records taken during some performances of the band between '97 and '98, all this in a very professional lay-out and at a extremely accessible price.

As for concerts, the band as been idle since July of '98, not just due to line-up problems, but also due to the composition stage that the band as been going through. To add at all these obstacles, the fact that Flame has been submitted to two surgical interventions in the last seven months has also contributed to the impossibilities that the band as had to perform live.
Probably by the month of August, Desire will be back to the stages, and once again, at their maximum strength.

As for the fan-club that was proposed for the band, unfortunately it won't be fulfilled, due to incompatibilities between the band and the person responsible for the making of the fan-club. Maybe in a near future a new proposal might appear.
