Well, I'm not shutting the site down, but I'm not gunna be doing much to keep it updated, either. Maybe add a story once in a while, a few pics here and there.. maybe make a few more "secret pages". (I love those). My job keeps me pretty busy.
Oh yeah, for the last year and a few months I've been working at Beth's Cafe.. a pretty popular diner in Seattle. I loved it as a customer when I used to come in all the time to see if I could decimate their hashbrown supply, and though I've grown a bit jaded working there, I still love the place. (Though I can no longer stomach the hashbrowns). Such is the life of a short-order cook.

Yeah, this has got to be an update record.
Now, where the hell do I start?
I might make one more effort to update the site a little, then I think I might shut the damn thing down. Shoot it in the head. Put it out of it's misery. Let's face it, I started this site in 1990-something when a friend of mine taught me HTML and the idea for a collective of drunk people's images on the internet was new and pretty funny. There's been quite a few other lush sites that have sprung up since then, and they do a hell of a lot better job. So how's that leave this place? A personal site.. and we all know how much we all love those. pfft.
I was kicking around the idea of making my own zine. I've written for them in the past and it was kinda fun, but then there's always that goddamn updating/deadline atrosity that rears it's ugly mug. Too many projects, too much time.
So what's happened? Well, not much. I finally did get fired from my job (for mentioning I hadn't had a raise or any benefits after 2 years of faithful service.. rot in hell, you former employer), lost my apartment (no job), then split up with my girlfriend (I wasn't up to her economic social standards.. i'm not a rich, weakling batcaver) all in the span of a few weeks. I tell ya, when luck turns on me it really knocks my dick in the dirt.
More recently, I started fooling around with boxing again but I don't want to get stuck doing that for money and being a cauliflower-eared vegetable by the time I near 30. I also started picking up Banjo. Yeah, banjo.. and it's pretty goddamn fun too, so I don't wanna hear any hell for it.
So there ya go. There's your update for this page. Look around, I'm updating a bunch more crap today.

Where to start? I wasn't able to start school this semester because I couldn't afford it. I've been trying to get into math classes so I can get into computer science / programming later on.. and to top it off, my boss cut half of my hours. So now I'm out looking for a new job, and still supporting 2 people with 1/2 of a paycheck. I keep telling myself that things just can't get much worse..

My birthday! I haven't been keeping up with the sight like I thought I would, but work's been keeping me pretty busy, and trying to keep up with the bills is hard enough. I celebrated by buying a crappy old trumpet from ebay.. Why? I have no idea.

Today I added more images to the Photos and Photoshopped sections, and added the award I'm giving away. I'm sure they're far more interesting than reading the "what's new" section, so go check 'em out. Oh yeah, I also updated the "About Me" section.

Well, I moved everything over to freespeech. Not much else besides fixing a couple of broken links, so as far as I know, everything is working correctly. Now I just have to sit down and write some things for the scribblings section. Cheers!

Today was link section day, and I learned that I don't know as much about HTML as I thought I did. More the reason to do this all by hand. Also had lots more fun with tables this morning, and after about 4 Advils and 3 antiacid tablets, I finally got it straightened out. I think I have a fetish of having to have everything neat and tidy.. or is that a disorder? "I have an order disorder" just doesn't sound right. Anyway, I might have the site ready for freespeech.org by the end of the week, way ahead of schedule. (Not that I had a schedule, but it makes me sound important). But now it's time to see if I can score some Chineese food somewhere. (yum)

I got quite a bit done today. I fixed all the broken images in the Inter Lushes section, and figured out tables a bit better. Not much better, mind you. In a bit, I might even fix up some of the pages in the art section. Woohoo! My days are packed with excitement lately!

I added a bunch of stuff to the art section, including sketches, photoshopped pics and a few other things. The site will be good to transfer over to
Freespeech.org pretty soon. Just a few more things to get done..

Started creating all the blank pages needed for the site, added the guestbook and a few images here and there, and pretty much gave up after that point. Oh yeah.. I also deleted a bunch of crap from the geocities account, which included all the pics from my "Inter-lushes" section. oops.

I started getting inspired to change the site again.. I hadn't done it in a couple years, but I thought it was about time. So, while at work, I grabbed a pencil and paper and began designing the new site. Little did I know that it was to become a pain in my ass, but it fills the hours. I need to brush up on my HTML anyway. (Yes, I do all my HTML in notepad). It can be a headache, but it's worth it. (Or so I keep telling myself).
