(May 30, 2002)  FIRST FOOTAGE FROM MOVIE AIRED ON MTV
DarkHorizons.com reported yesterday that footage from Bulletproof Monk recently aired on MTV's Movie House show.  The preview footage showed Seann William Scott getting his "ass kicked".

Two new images from Bulletproof Monk have been released to media, mainly published in Chinese publications in Hong Kong.  MonkeyPeaches has the two images on their site: one of Chow Yun Fat & Seann William Scott fighting or struggling with each other; the other with them running through the streets in between traffic lanes.  Go to MonkeyPeaches.com and click on their "May 2002" archives to view the images.  It was mentioned that the 2nd image came from the website of the Hong Kong publication Ming Pao.

Two stars of Bulletproof Monk were at the Cannes Film Festival on the weekend of May 19 as part of a press conference and photo-op to promote the upcoming film.  Seann William Scott and James King were on hand, while Chow Yun-Fat stayed in Toronto.  MonkeyPeaches reports: "Taiwan's Mun Sang Poh reports some mockup mountain has been built inside a soundstage. 
Chow Yun-fat is wearing a tightly buckled jacket protecting the sacred sutra tattooed on his body. During the final fight scene, he will remove the jacket and unveil the sutra".  Photographs of the two actors in Cannes can be found at the Internet Movie Database (imdb.com), under the "images" sections for both actors.

MonkeyPeaches reported yesterday that Chow Yun-Fat celebrated his 47th birthday in Toronto on May 18, both at an on-set party and later on in a Toronto-area Chinese restaurant.  Images from the on-set party can be found at MonkeyPeaches.com.  The site also quotes Chow Yun-Fat describing a scene they shot recently, where they were shooting an outdoor scene at a snowy mountain lake.  It was so cold that he was frozen by the time the cameras started rolling, and Seann William Scott even passed out during an action sequence.
