(August 5, 1999)
Comedian Weird Al Yanovic, known for his parodies of top 40
songs, has released a new video entitled It's All About The
Pentiums, which parodies Puff Daddy's It's All About The
Benjamins. The video premiered on MTV's Total Request Live yesterday
and features cameos by comedians Drew Carey and Emo Phillips. The video
is also a parody of hip hop music video cliches, especially Paul
Hunter's It's All About The Benjamins and Hype Williams' Mo
Money Mo Problems videos. The video can be seen online at www.thepentiums.com.

TLC's new Paul Hunter-directed video for Unpretty
debuted on BET & MTV's
Total Request Live today. Wicked video! It is similar to their Waterfalls
video, where they have different storylines within the video. The video
has a spiritual, "new age" feel to it. An overweight girl cuts
out pictures of models, wanting to look "thinner"; T-Boz is a
girl in high school who is being harassed by two guys; Chili walks into
a clinic and contemplates getting breast implants; Left-Eye is driving
in her car and witnesses a gang-shooting.

Derrick has discovered some interesting tidbits of information regarding
Paul Hunter's future film projects. This appeared on Army Archerd's
"Just for Variety" section on Variety's
homepage:
Also going the feature route for the
first time is director Paul Hunter, who has a record of over 100
musicvideos, including those with Sean "Puffy" Combs, Janet
Jackson, Busta Rhymes, Lauryn Hill, Marilyn Manson, Everclear,
Matchbox 20, and the current Will Smith outing, the seven-minute
"Wild Wild West" video. Now, Hunter's in the rewrite stage
with Lauren Shuler-Donner and WB to direct "Constantine," an
action-adventure thriller. He says the studio is giving him
"wonderful support." He is also prepping to direct
"Comic Dog" with Roger Birnbaum. This one's an
action-adventure in space. As a result of his "WWWest"
video, Hunter's talking with Jon Peters to direct "Vertical
Run."
