Millennium Has Hit
And its hit us HARD
We've waited so long. Revealing any information we could about it. Any time it was available, we'd download a wav/RA file of the newest and latest song on the album. But now, we no longer have to go through all that.
The Millennium has stuck the world.
The 4th full album from the Backstreet Boys has hit the stores' selves today, and already sold out in some stores. Girls lined up to buy their own copy of the longly awaited CD, and after finally getting it, they never stop playing it.
Consisting of songs writting by some of the Boys themselves, the album is bound to be a hit. The first single off the album, "I Want It That Way," is already a hit, after at least 2 weeks on the radio.
Tracks include...
- Larger Than Life -- co-written by Brian Littrell, this song is the first track...and dedicated directly to the fans. Just listen to the words and you can tell it is for the fans.
- I Want It That Way -- written and produced by Max Martin, its first single off the album, and one of the best songs. many people thought this song was supposed to be the one dedicated to the fans...but obviously not!
- Show Me The Meaning Of Being Lonely -- again, written and produced by Max Martin, this was the first song I liked. Its also a very special song, because, as Kevin puts it, it was the last song that the late Denniz PoP had worked on before he passed away.
- It's Gotta Be You -- also written and produced by Max Martin, its an up-beat song for anyone who's ever been in love with someone they wanted. Very catchy melody.
- I Need You Tonight -- Nick's been singing this in concerts for the past year, driving the girls crazy. The ballad is sung mostly by Nick himself, with the Boys singing backup at the end.
- Don't Want You Back -- written entirely by Max Martin, AJ believes that the guys will be into this rockin' break-up song more than the girls will be.
- Don't Wanna Lose You Now -- another slow, romantic ballad, written by Max Martin, this song goes along the lines of break-up also...only just the opposite of Don't Want You Back.
- The One -- also co-written by Brian, formerly known as I'll Be The One, this was one of the first songs heard by the fans' ears, closing the end of Britney Spears' debut album, and a few of the Boys' previous singles also.
- Back To Your Heart -- co-written by Kevin, he even does the additional keyboards and bass in the music, having written the music for it all.
- Spanish Eyes -- written by the same guy as I Need You Tonight (Andrew Fromm), yet another slow, romantic ballad, also based on loving someone.
- No One Else Comes Close -- another ballad,
for anyone who was ever truely in love with someone, wanting to show their feelings. This is that song.
- The Perfect Fan -- written by Brian and BSB Band keyboardist Tommy Smith, this one's for the moms. And Brian recorded it in a special way...going back home. He went back to his old high school and gathered his choir members for the back-up vocals on the song. I wanted to thank each individual who lent their voice and time to the making of "The Perfect Fan." You truly earned your props on this album. -- Brian
The whole album was fantastic, much more mature than their past albums have been. And with all the fans of the world been waiting so long for this album, its bound to be a good saler within the first week.
This album is dedicated to the late Denniz PoP. He had a profound influence on our music and our lives. Denniz was one of the first to envision and embrace the Backstreet Boys. He will live on through our music and will forever be in our hearts. Denniz, we will miss you.
