It sounds like Queen liked Cologne in 1979. Freddie in a very loquacious mood, and a performance in which it sounds like the band themselves really enjoyed.
I tend to like live versions of Somebody to Love, and this one is one to keep. To round the recording off there is a superb singsong with the audience in Now I'm Here.
A longer show of this concert exists as 'Live In Cologne' currently (1996) only on vinyl, but no doubt will appear on CD.
Also included are Don't Stop Me now Spread your Wings, Love Of My Life, '39, Brighton Rock and Keep Yourself Alive. Sound Quality : Very well balanced for a concert recording; clear sound. Package Quality : Disc label completely blank. Sleeve is not bad. Performance : Well up on confidence and atmosphere.
