Titi Camara was brought in primarily as cover for Liverpool's strikeforce. Howoever, he is known to be
more comfortable opeating on the flanks. His main asset is perhaps his pace, which has earned him
comparions with Marc Overmars. Camara is not one with a fantastic goalscoring record but having him in
the squad is a tremendous boost. In recent years, Liverpool have suffered because of a lack of depth in
the forward department.
This season, when Michael Owen was sidelined during the start of the season, there were no such problems
as Camara stood in for him and promptly got on the scoresheet in his Premier League debut against Sheffield
Wednesday. He has gone on to excite the fans with his runs down the flank. Camara is not afraid to take on
defenders and often chooses to run directly at them. At the same time, he has scored a number of goals.
There is no denying the Owen-Fowler combination is first choice at Anfield but should either of them be injured,
as was the case this season, Camara is more than ready to take their places and net a few goals.
