Vladimir Smicer is the compatriot of current Liverpool star, Patrik Berger. He is the replacement for Steve McManaman. Having to fill Macca's shoes is no easy task and it will take alot of skill from Smicer. Indeed, he is reputed to have no lack of talent and is capable in operating on both flanks as well as the center of midfield. Having played alongside Patrik Berger for the Czech Republic, he should settle comfortably in the Red's midfield. Smicer's arrival increases Liverpool's attacking options. Along with Berger, Jamie Redknapp and Dietmar Hamann, Smicer should make Liverpool's midfield one of the most feared in the country.
