Interview
with Erwin, by Billy nocera (I Spit on Your
Grave - 1999) Billy:
You guys have been around the Underground for a long time
now, releasing some demos, split eps, and now your first
full length cd on bones Brigade. Are happy with both your
old material and the new stuff? What things have changed
in the Underground since you first began?
Erwin: Yes, we are happy with all our releases
at that time, except our first split ep with "Confessions
of Obscurity" because these were ruined by the
pressing it on vinyl. With our new recordings, and new
songs that have to be recorded, you can hear that the
songs are more structured than all our old recordings,
but still brutal as fuck! We've been around with Last
Days of Humanity for about eight or nine years, and
things that have changed are that there are too many
Black shitty pathethic Metal bands spreading around like
flies on a pile of shit, and there are way too many bands
playing Grind with too much Death Metal influences- for
the rest I don't really give a fuck.
B: Your new
stuff sounded a little like Regurgitate but also a little
different. What are some other bands that helped inspire
your sound/style? Do you get into bands like Agathocles,
Drop Dead, A.C., Terrorizer, old Napalm Death, etc? What
are some other Gore/Grind bands you like? Mortician?
E: Well, we all are or have been listening to
the bands you name in your question, but we aren't
inspired by any bands really, we try to keep out feet on
the ground and do our own thing as much as possible (it
could also be possible that someday we put some rock n'
roll parts in our songs, it's just how we feel, and we
don't make songs for other people's appreciation, so who
knows!) At the moment I am listening to stuff like
Rupture, Kuro, Gusm, Gore Beyond Necropsy, Dead
Infection, etc. The other members are listening to more
stuff like Mortician and Deranged, etc.
B: Tell us about
your split lp with Murder Corporation coming out! That's
cool you're still doing vinyl! Any other records coming
out?
E: The split with Murder Corporation will be out
on Gowap Records someday soon, but at the moment I've
heard he wants to do it on cd because it's cheaper to
spread around, because of the postal rates (you probably
understand as you do a record label yourself). Our side
contains eleven new songs and seven old songs, but with a
new title. No gory splatter lyrics, but the music is
still brutal Gore Grind as usual, ha ha ha. We prefer
vinyl much more than cd. We like the scratchy sound, so
if anyone is interested to do a split 7" or so for
us, just write and we start recording. Vinyl rules!
B: Hans used to
do Lowland Records and released the godly Regurgitate cd.
What happened to the label? What do the other members of
LDOH do besides the band?
E: Hans quit Lowland and also he stopped singing
with us after the recordings for out split 7" with
Rakitis, so we have a new line up now. Besides LDOH, I
started a band called Amfetamin Anger together with
William (our guitar player). Our new drummer also plays
drums for another brutal band called Suppository. Anne (our
other guitar player) is going to school, and we all have
jobs. That's it I guess. (We also drink as much as
possible!)
B: Well, thanx
for your answers and sorry for the short interview. Keep
up the sick work with your band and give some closing
comments. Thanx!
E: Thanks to you Billy and your girlfriend for
your interest and to those who read this: start killing
before you get killed! Cheers!
