VIC's Original Playbill Comments: ""As you know DJ Drink-A-Lot and I have done many shows together and we work very hard as a team entertaining you kind people. But lately I feel like Vic Masters has four co-workers, DJ Drink-A-Lot, Jack Daniels, Harvey Wallbanger and Captain Morgan an his damned Spiced Rum.

DJ, You tried calling in sick tonight to beg off this gig but when I got to your house you were passed out with one hand down your trousers watching the Weather Channel. We're in Arizona, Deej-what could you possibly learn from watching the weather channel? Sun Sun Sun from now till Doomsday. That's all. Maybe it's the monochromatic weather that's got you down or maybe, just maybe, demon rum has beaten all the sunshine outta ya. Rather than cancel the show tonight, I've called DJ Smoke-A-Lot as a backup and decided this oughta be a combination Yom Kippur/intervention for you my friend. DJ, I think you need help. End the lies DJ. End 'em right now""

Of note: This debut at Mustang Sallys was one of the weaker shows in recent VICstory. The concept of a musical intervention was a good one but it required Vic and DJ Smoke-A-Lot to be mean to DJ Drink A Lot which ruined the festive atmosphere of most shows. Still, the Madame Ruth puppet didn't get overshadowed during "LOVE POTION NUMBER NINE " and Vic did a masterful new cover of "YOU GO TO MY HEAD" and the first half of the show was solid. Things started going downhill with the first appearance of a sampled song and a reprise of the Vicky Masters character sans the Bee Cups which confused things.
