Dave Bronze (bass)

Great bassist, he was born on April 2nd, 1952, in Billericay, Essex, England. He joined Robin Trower band in 1983, until 1987. He has also played with The Art of Noise, Mickey Jupp, Chris Farlowe, Ray Davies and Leo Sayer.

Around 1983, he joins Robin Trower band, as bassist:

They release Back it up, but for next album, Beyond the mist (recorded live, plus 2 new studio tracks), Dave also handles vocal duties:

Soon later, he joins Dr. Feelgood in March 1991, in the middle of recording their album called Primo:

But, he's soon called to make some concerts with Procol Harum, leaving Dr. Feelgood for a while. This was September 1991. In December 1991, after Tim Renwick leaves the band, Geoff Whitehorn joins them: They played a long tour in 1992, but Matthew Fisher didn't stay for long this time, leaving in April 1992, and he's substituted by Don Snow in May. After the short tour, he comes back to Dr. Feelgood in May 1992:

As they thought of recording a live album, they augment the lineup with veteran keyboardist Ian Gibbons. The album was the very interesting Down at the doctors, recorded on January 24-25, 1994. The album was produced and mixed by Dave.

This was their last lineup with an original member, as leader Lee Brilleaux sadly died on April 7th, 1994. Then, he joins The Hamsters, apart from being playing in Eric Clapton tours (he finally left The Hamsters at the end of 1994, when commitments with Eric Clapton became bigger and bigger).

During June 1993, Dave tours again with Procol Harum for a while:

In September 1996, the Gary Brooker Ensemble played a gig in a church, that was to be released as an acoustic live album. The lineup was:

and the album is Within our house (1996).

In 1997, Eric Clapton leaves his band frozen for a while (Eric and Steve Gadd joined Legends, a band assembled by Marcus Miller).

Soon later, Dave rejoins Be Sharp:

They release a live album, appropiately called Be Sharp Live!.

But in October 1997, Eric comes back to solo touring in Japan, this time without horn section, and keeping Joe Sample (keyboardist in Legends) with him:

As every year, Gary Brooker assembles a band (Gary Brooker and Friends) to play some charity gigs in December 1998. Impressive lineup: Apart from all the facts I've told, I shouldn't forget that Dave usually plays in all the Lee Brilleaux tribute concerts celebrated along these years since his death. There, most of past and present members reunite to play Feelgood music, plus some friends and fans (such as Snowy White).
