The story of Nirvana

This great band originated in Seattle. Nirvana was Kurt Donald Cobain (1967-1994), David Eric Grohl(1969) and Krist(1965).
Nirvana intended themselves to be just a small local band but became so popular they became known right around the world! The lead singer and guitarist is of course Kurt Cobain. Dave Grohl drums and vocals and Krist Novoselic does bass. The so called "fourth member" is Pat Smear who does guitar. He was playing for Nirvana's IN Utero tour. Other members include Chad Channing(1967) who was the original drummer and Jason Everman(?) who joined shortly after their first album "Bleach" was also a guitarist. Jason Everman left because his style of music was more rock/metal than what the band wanted so he left and soon became a member of Soundgarden(who no longer exist).
Nirvana came out with six albums (or seven if you include hormoaning) but the most liked and the "No.1 album of all time you have to listen to before you die"(-Massive! a australian music mag)would have to be Nevermind. Nevermind was their second album and is probably the most popular Nirvana album. If you do not already have this and you think you like Nirvana, you haven't heard their best until you have heard Nevermind. As for their other albums Massive! chose 'In Utero' As the No.4 album out of the hottest 100 albums you have to listen to before you die.
Back to Nevermind..... on the 04/17/91 (mm/dd/yy) Nirvana First play their smash hit 'Smells Like Teen Spirit'.This is on the Nevermind album. Nirvana did not really like this song though, because as Dave said on the 'Live Tonight!!Sold Out!!' video, "for many people, Smell's Like Teen Spirit is Nirvana's only song, and that's kinda disappointing......." and even though it is a cool song and it's played by a cool band, many people think exactly that. They feel Smell's Like Teen Spirit is the only good song!?!?! When kurt "killed himself" or "was murdered"(in 1994), Krist went off to play in a band called Sweet 75 and Dave went off to play in a band called the Foo Fighters. Pat Smear also went and joined the Foo Fighters but left a little while before their second album (The Color And The Shape). Nirvana have made six albums which are Bleach, Nevermind, Incesticide, In Utero, Mtv Unplugged In New York, From The Muddy Banks Of The Wishkah and Hormoaning.
