Clash
Strummer, center, once led the world's greatest rock & roll band.

You've sent e-mails asking the whereabouts of Joe Strummer, who appears to have been lost in action, and we're happy to report he was spotted tanned and healthy at a Black Grape show in London last month, jawing with his old Clash compatriot Paul Simonon. When pressured, he admitted that he's been working on a project with a new collaborator, Richard Norris from the Grids. The two of them laid down tracks at Peter Gabriel's Real World Studio during the summer months and he seemed quite pleased by the results. Strummer was reluctant to say more, but the new band cum project is unbelievably called Strummerville. Hey, we'll take a trip there.
