Hello everybuddy! Shannon and I just went to the Nov 11th concert in Toronto and our ears are still ringing! We went with Shannon's sister and our other friend April. We got our tickets thanx to Shannon's mom and April and I are still thanking her! Shannon, you don't know how happy you've made us! This concert was our first BSB concert except for Shannon who went to the Aug, 22nd concert last year.

Now begins the tale when Shannon and I became teenyboppers....only during the concert that is!! Uh...heheh...

The Journey to our Kick Ass seats

Since I don't go to the same school as Shannon and April, I was doing French work while those two got to leave early! Grrrr...anyhoo, I had to run straight home at 3 because we left 45 minutes later. Once we arrived at the Holiday Inn where the Coach bus we were taking was gonna pick us up, we took out the big-ass poster I made and took a picture. (For those of you who went, we were the ones holding the poster saying "We Like Nick's Butt... And the others are pretty DAMN fine aswell!!" Once we boared the bus and took off, our guide told us the details and then we were on our way! Our quiet yet phsycopathic friend Clare (who unfortunately couldn't come) dared me to sing out a loud a song from 5ive so that I could piss off the teenyboppers, but I didn't want to get ripped to shreds. Plus Shannon and April didn't want to suffer from embarassment before we even arrived at the Dome. We got our tix on the bus and we freaked when we realized what seats we got. We had 25th row from the stage!

Once we arrived, I lugged our big-ass banner from the bus and we set off to the 500th level where the CAA reception was. We ate, we drank, Shannon almost lost the huge roll of toilet paper from the bathroom stall and we managed to hide the lump our cameras made in our jackets so that no one would take 'em. Once we got bored, we went all the way back down to gate 5 where we would enter. We got to the gate at 6:00 and they didn't let us in until 6:30 so we hung out at KISS 92 group right outside. We managed to hold up our banner and got a lot of funny reactions. One of the DJ's even took a picture of it! At 6:30, we were freezin' our asses off so we decided to see if they would let us in. They didn't let us in until 7:45 and we were about to die!!! Thankfully, since we got our tickets from that CAA thingy, we didn't have to wait in line and got in immediately! Banners weren't allowed in the concert (even though people actually snuck them in) but ours was too big anyway so we put that away and went to our seats.

The Opening Acts

The concert started at 7:30 and the first opening act was Mandy Moore. The only thing we need to say is "Can you say Britney Spears?" Hell yeah! Her off key voice, tight ass pants and VERY skinny self was perfectly seen from our seats. By the way, we could see EVERYTHING from where we were!! No one blocking our way (except for this one ugly bitch who we told about 50 freakin' times to get off her chair but never listened), nothing in front of us, we could even see Mandy's disgusting face clearly! Anyhoo, Shannon was complaining how off key she was and how much better she was than Mandy. We just told her to go run up on stage, grab the mic and start singing but obviously she didn't even get out of her seat. The next opening act was EYC. Now these guys know how to hype up a crowd. I can't remember what the songs were called but they sang two fast ones which really brought everyone outta their seats. After the second song, they started talking about how Toronto girls rule and stuff like that and then brought the mood down to their 'sexy side' as they called it. Woooo! Those guys are just......wow. They might not be able to sing oh so perfectly but they can certaintly dance up one hell of a storm! After they were finished, all the anticipation builded.

The Show

It was 8:30, EYC finished and everyone thought that there would just be another 3 minute break. But we were wrong. After half an hour of yelling 'Backstreet Boys' and doing the 'wave' like thirty times, the lights dimmed and that's when the screaming and the light blub flashing broke loose. The Star Wars theme began to play and the ten dancers came up on stage with these large lance type things. Once they stuck them on the stage, everything went black and the screaming was deafening. All of a sudden, a bunch of lights came on the five guys on neon-lit boogie boards came up and flew over the crowd to the stage. The guys were wearing those blue costume thingys and looked hilarious but they put on one hell of a show! They sang larger than life, Get Down and The One in those costumes and then went for a change. I had already taken like 10 pictures.

Nick came out right after The One and they all introduced themselves induvidually and thanked each and everyone of us. Before I go on about this, I was about to fall to the floor laughing! Either it was just me, or someone burst a bunch of helium baloons but all the guys' voices were high pitched!! Nick had that old high pitched voice, Brian sounded like Nick with a tad of a Donald duck impression (don't ask), Kevin sounded like Nick's regular voice, AJ sounded like Brian and Howie sounded like a chipmunk!! LMAO!! It was hilarious!! I guess the mics were screwed or there really was some sort of helium type stuff in there....freaky. Anyhoo, when Nick was telling everyone how they were in the States before, everyone booed! But when he said that they were here in Toronto, everyone screamed. When AJ said that if he could move anywhere else other than Florida, he said it would be Toronto and everyone went hysterical!! Since yesterday was Rememberance day in Canada (the day where we remember the people that fought in the war to set Canada free) Kevin actually got everyone to take a minute of silence. Shannon, April and I took our minute of silence being the loyal canucks that we are and are greatful for Kevin doing that. You rule!! There were some over obsessive teenyboppers that just kept on screaming but all in all, the silence was incredible.

They then sang As Long As You Love Me and Don't Wanna Lose You Now and drove us wild! I missed the chair dance cause by now I had used up my first roll of film. Next they performed Quit Playing Games and near the end it speeded up and they flew up over us. Kevin was in our area and kept on doing somarsaults. And guess what? He didn't get tangled up in the wires! AJ flew down like a in a bungee jump and couldn't get back up! It was hilarious. Howie was constantly flippinf round and around while tossing roses in the audience while Nick and Brian were having fun just fooling around. They threw stuffed animals in the audience but we weren't close enough to get anything. They sang Don't Want You Back and climbed up in these ladder thingies. At around this point, Nick was feeling alright and his voice cracked! Shannon and I felt sorry for him but he still kept on performing like it wasn't bothering him. Next was the perfect fan where they took five mothers and daughters out and brought them on stage. The performance was awesome! Shannon and I envyed those girls at one point.

Kevin then did his piano solo followed by Back To You Heart, Though Kevin was in the middle on the high platform while the other four were just on side of the stage, it was incredible. Everybody was next and this when the pelvic thrusts came rolling in! Thankfully I got some awesome pictures of AJ and Howie thrusting away (don't take it the 'other' way!) while the dancers were putting on the best performane ever. They sang We've Got It Goin' On and That's The Way I Like It. TTWILI was the best part. Near the end, AJ was on our side and literally ripped his shirt off and tossed on this blue top hat type thing. April and I went nuts with our cameras!!

I can't completely remember, I think it was after this or before this when they introduced all the dancers and the band but it was great. They introduced two dancers and a band member and they did this little dance! It was great. Everytime either of them said anything about Toronto, everyone went wild! Nick was feeling really bad at this point so Kevin had to take over his part. Brian introduced one of the dancers that was the only Canadian of them all (and who was from Toronto) we all cheered. Mindi Abair probably had Shannon and I yelling the most! The only girl the band! Woo! Girl Power!!

Next was Spanish Eyes where they wore those big pink suits which Shannon and I laughed. The bad thing was, AJ's hair was dies bright red like Joey's and seriously did not look good with the suits. But being AJ, his hair has most likely changed colour by now. *lol* They sang I'll Never Break Your Heart No One Else Come Close on the middle platform and then did AIHTG on the stage where they did the hat dance! They did it on the other side of the stage but I could still make it out and it was perfect! They sang Show Me The Meaning up on the center again and said good-bye. But we all knew that it wasn't over. It this point, that ugly bitch (as we like to call her) had left and we could see everything without her hair wacking me in the face and he arms flying about. While we waited, everyone was going hysterical and I freaked when everyone began stomping the ground for some reason. The floor literally shook! My stomache felt weird and it was just plain freaky. A few minutes later, the encores began and the guys were changed AGAIN singing It's Gotta Be You where Nicky's voice CrAcKed! But we didn't care! It sounded incredible! After that, the dancers and the guys went around to the five sections of the stage and bowed (which I got a perfect shot of) and left. We all thought it was over when they came out and began singing I Want It That Way. They ended the show perfectly which tons of fireworks, confetti and everything! By now, my three rolls of film were finished and my throat was hurting like hell! We left the Dome waving good-bye at the band and left looking for water and a bathroom which we could actually get into.

After The Show...

Begin the deaf people that we became, we managed to push our way out of the crowd and headed for the bus still lugging our big-ass poster. Actually they made ME lug it because I made it. :P We met one person (who shall remain nameless) that we all USED to be friends with until she became a traitor. Before I asked her what seats she got and she had 500 level. Then she said she had 6th row through 'connections'. Now she said that she got 5th row because they closed the 500th level section and were moved down. Closed the 500th level section my ASS!!!!! The whole 500th level was PERFECTLY OPEN!! She keeps on changing her story!! Geez.... changing the subject a tad, we boarded the bus and were surprised to know that the BSB themselves gave our tour guide two millennium posters. But since all the fans were gathering and Nick and AJ were feeling like crap, they couldn't sign them in time. They had to make out quick because I think they left that night to Ottawa for today's show. Our guide raffled the posters away along with a pack of smaller BSB posters, two packs of BSB photos (the kinds you can get from a Comic book store for $1.00 a pack) and a copy of the BSB All Acess Video. We didn't get any of the stuff but we didn't care. When the guide was passing out candy to us all, I tried to speak but let out a squeak and cough! I felt like shit!!! But when we arrived at the Holiday and got into my mom's Benz (Yeah! Das right Timberlake! *lol*) my voice came back and we went home talking about the event.

And that people was my first BSB concert experience. Warning to people who are going to their first concert, you don't have bring earplugs because you get used to the screaming quickly....well most people do.... and make sure you have plently of fluids after words. All of us sounded like the chipmunks afterwards! It sounded like we all sucked in helium! And one more point, be ready for shrill screaming every time Nick, Brian or AJ are shown on Jumbo-Vision! (or that big screen TV!! *LOL*) It was insane! Though Kevy and Howie had their share of screams, I felt like wacking someone over the head everytime AJ, Nick or Brian appeared and everyone went wild! Well except for the beginning where they showed all those close ups of Kevy's fine face that just kept on looking at everyone with that serious look and I went completely insa---um....nevermind...hehe

Well that's all for now folks! CIAO!!!
