The idea for Five came when the original masterminds of the Spice Girls thought the world needed a hot guy band. After auditioning thousands of guys to be the lucky Five, they came across Rich, J, Sean, Scott and Abs. The guys moved in together and started on their first single, Slam Dunk Da Funk. Once they'd recorded their self-titled debut album and became famous around the neighbourshood 'cos of the noise coming from their house, they started to appear in English mags and TV shows. In just over a year, the boys have travelled half-way around the world, including Australia, leaving thousands of screaming girls behind on their journey to superstardom.
After waiting 15 minutes for Scott to spike his hair and for Abs to finish reading Dolly, we tried to get some answers out the boys- but these five had something else in mind- like joking around and running their own interview. here's what they said......
Who would you guys love to tour with?
Scott: Michael Jackson.
Abs: Marilyn Manson- so we could nick all his make-up. (the rest of the guys start laughting)
J: Abs is speaking for himself.
Rich: Pearl Jam- but i don't think that we'd go down too well. (laughs)
Do you still share a house?
J: Me, Sean and Rich do.
Rich: Abs and Scott just couldn't hack it anymore.
Out of the five of you, who gets away with the most?
Rich: Sean gets away with anything.
J: He gets away with doing absolutely nothing all the time.
Rich: In over a year, not once has he- and this is in no way a lie- ironed any clothes or washed one single thing.
J: He hasn't washed anything at all and he's made about four drinks in over a whole year. Sean is a very bone-idle person.
So, who's the biggest joker?
All:Scott! (all laugh)
J: Scott is just out of control- he isthe biggest kidder in the group.
Scott: I sing in these stupid voices.
And the biggest party animals?
J: Me and Sean
Sean: The others go to bed.
J: When we were on tour, we were staying out all night and in the morning, we'd have a quick shower before the day's work.
Scott: Yeah, but J's like the daddy, he's the oldest one.
The most romantic
Rich: Abs
Abs: No, I'm not! We all are.
Rich: He has a girlfriend.
Sean: J and I are looking for a really nice girlfriend.
Scott: To share. (all laugh)
J: Well, if she was into that kind of thing!
What are Five's most secret and annoying habits?
Sean: Scott makes really annoying voices at the wrong time of day.
Rich: Abs is really quiet, sometimes you think he might be tried or maybe upset, but he isn't.
Scott: Rich is a bit dramatic.
J: He can be a bit over-dramatic.
Scott: (imitating Rich, screaming ) No, I'm not! (all laugh) J can be bossy.
Sean: He goes a bit gobby.
Rich: And he has the loudest laugh.
Who gets the most fan mail out of the five of you?
Scott: J does, I think
J: We get all different types of people, but I usually get all the aunties and grandmas. (laughs)
Scott: Because of the age difference, J gets all the old ladies. (all laugh)
